The New Has Come

Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. - Isaiah 43:19

And suddenly, it was a new year.

2020 was simultaneously the shortest and longest year of my life thus far. There were high highs and low lows, and oh, so many changes. Things put down and things taken up, time gained and time lost, habits broken and habits formed.

But one thing is for certain: none of it was a waste. Because there, in the middle of the chaos that encompassed the year, was Jesus. When it seemed there was no way out, He made a way through. When we found ourselves lacking (money, energy, understanding), He provided for us.

We may be still in the thick of the chaos of 2020, but this year will not be a continuation of last year. It will be its own year, with its own trials, lessons, opportunities, and blessings.

Because the old has gone, and the new has come.

xoxo, Erin
