Seek Him and Find Him

Ever feel like you’re constantly looking for the answer? Like you’re running and searching but never finding the solution to your problem?

I’ve got good news for you: Jesus has the best answer, and He doesn’t hide from you.

When you seek Him, you find Him.

He’s not playing hide and seek with you, trying to make you wander in the desert. In fact, He will lead you to, and even create, a river in that desert (but that’s a topic for another time).

Jesus wants to help us. He wants to answer your questions. He wants to know you, and for you to know Him. He wants to commune with you and makes Himself accessible.

God even tells us in scripture just how accessible He is:

“But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.” - Deuteronomy 4:29

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” - Jeremiah 29:13

“God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.” - Acts 17:27

Notice, however, how you have to seek Him.

With your whole heart.

This means ditching all efforts to find joy, happiness, comfort, and all our other needs in anything but Him. The world can’t satisfy us; only Jesus can do that. Why would we seek anything else?

And as Acts 17 tells us, He’s not far away. He’s actually quite close. In fact, He dwells inside of us, through the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:11; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 2 Timothy 1:14).

All you have to do is seek Him. Just take His word for it.

xoxo, Erin
